Dracaena sanderiana is one of the important export ornamental plants in southern China. Zhanjiang district, Guangdong province, is one of the main areas to process and export D. sanderiana. The annual export value was $6.5 million in 2018. In Zhanjiang district, D. sanderiana was seriously affected by a disease in the field in 2017 with an incidence of 35 to 80%.
