Vibrio tapetis strain 6087 was isolated, in association with atypical Aeromonas salmonicida, from moribund Atlantic halibut, Hippoglossus hippoglossus. The 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain 6087 showed only one base difference from the strain CECT 4600(T) in 1472 residues.
