Pith necrosis, an important disease of tomato worldwide, is caused by Pseudomonas corrugata (Buonaurio et al. 1993), P. mediterranea (Trantas et al. 2013), P. viridiflava, and Pectobacterium spp. (Malathrakis and Goumas 1987).
