Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi are important in plant resistance against insects and disease. However, the effect of AM fungi in plants during simultaneous pathogen and insect attacks is unknown. Phoma medicaginis and pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum) majorly limit alfalfa production worldwide.
