Flow cytometric analysis of the nuclear DNA contents of somatic tissues from seedlings of Brassica rapa L. and B. oleracea L. revealed extensive endoreduplication, resulting in tissues that contain cells with multiple ploidy levels (also called 'endopolyploidy').
