This study was conducted to expedite disease‐resistance breeding in canola by screening haploid plants against blackleg disease. Microspore‐derived haploid plantlets from 14 unrelated crosses were inoculated with Leptosphaeria maculans pycnidiospores and were rated as resistant, intermediate or susceptible.
