<title>Abstract</title> <p>We determined the frequency and mutational spectrum of <italic>BRCA1</italic> and <italic>BRCA2</italic> in a series of high-risk breast cancer patients from Brazil. A total of 1,267 patients were referred for <italic>BRCA</italic> genetic testing, and no obligation of fulfilling criteria of mutation probability methods for molecular screening was applied.
