<h4>Objectives: </h4> Listeria monocytogenes (LM), the etiological agent of Listeriosis, can cause foodborne zoonosis. In this study, we characterized 23 strains that caused human listeriosis in Palermo (Sicily, Italy) during the period 2018-2020.
