For cloning of gene fragments and tissue distribution studies, three crossbred pigs (Sus domesticus; sows were predominantly Landrace-Yorkshire crossbreds mated to a Duroc boar) at age 8 to 9 wk old were killed, with an electrocution combined with exsanguinations 2 h after feeding.
