Among the varieties of Musa spp. in India, Musa × paradisiaca cv. Chini Champa (family Musaceae) is the high altitude cultivar, grown in foothills of the Himalayas in northeast India. The fruits are small with creamy pulp, thin peel, sweet aroma, and have excellent shelf life.
