Apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) is an important fruit tree cultivated widely throughout China. In July 2015, cankers and shoot blight were observed for the first time in an apricot orchard (cv. Yin Bai) in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. The cankers appeared on shoots, twigs, and branches as sunken, reddish-brown, necrotic lesions.
