<title>Abstract</title> <p>We isolated a new strain of an amoebozoan, <italic>Ptolemeba bulliensis</italic> Watson et al., 2014 (Tubulinea) from the gills of farmed rainbow trout (<italic>Oncorhynchus mykiss</italic> Walbaum, 1792) showing signs of nodular gill disease.
