<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is an X-linked muscle wasting disorder marked by lack of dystrophin expression. Symptoms include loss of ambulation, respiratory problems, and cardiac complications with heart failure being the leading cause of death.
