Hydroxyproline‐containing di‐ and tripeptides increase in human blood plasma after ingestion of collagen hydrolysate in a dose‐dependent manner. Prolyl‐hydroxyproline (Pro‐Hyp) and hydroxyprolyl‐glycine (Pro‐Gly) are the main food‐derived collagen peptides present in human blood plasma.
