Taro (Colocasia esculenta) is a vegetable crop widely cultivated in the southwestern provinces of China. During April 2018, an outbreak of stem rot disease was observed on taro plants in some agricultural fields in the Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian provinces of China.
