An endophytic bacterium named Pseudomonas putida MGY2 was isolated from papaya fruit. The effect of MGY2 on reducing anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides infection in harvested papaya fruit and the possible mechanisms involved were investigated.
