Treatment of NSCLC KRAS G12C mutant tumors with the allele-selective sotorasib inhibitor is invariably associated with acquired resistance. The MUC1-encoded oncogenic M1C protein is necessary for self-renewal of NSCLC KRAS mutant cells.
