<h4>BACKGROUND</h4> We previously reported an encapsulated balloon (EsoCheck TM , EC), which selectively samples the distal esophagus, that coupled with a two methylated DNA biomarker panel (EsoGuard TM , EG), detected Barrett’s esophagus (BE) and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC), with a sensitivity and specificity of 90.3% and 91.7%, respectively.
