<h4>ABSTRACT</h4> The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family comprises in vertebrates five or six members: VEGF(-A), PlGF, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, and – in venomous reptiles – VEGF-F.
