A Podospora anserina mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) rearrangement mutant, Mn19, was crossed with a deletion mutant, alphaDelta5. Ascospores (212) from random asci were tested for viability, growth and life-span phenotypes, and mtDNA inheritance.
