We examined the inheritance of allelic variation at an isozyme locus, MDH-B, duplicated by ancestral polyploidy in salmonid fishes. We detected only disomic segregation in females. Segregation ratios in males were best explained by a mixture of disomic and tetrasomic inheritance.
