Bilateral polycystic kidneys were detected by ultrasound at 23 weeks gestation in a male fetus. Bilateral renal cysts were subsequently also found in the asymptomatic propositus' mother and grandmother, suggesting the diagnosis of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD).
