The effect of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) on the mucin phenotype of non-metaplastic gastric mucosa in the rat was studied histochemically. Animals were exposed to MNNG in drinking water (83 mg/l) for 12 weeks.
