Glyoxalase-I phenotypes have been screened electrophoretically in the Kotia and Relli populations of the Visakhaptnam District, Andhra Pradesh (India). The GLO*1 allele varies from 0.2560 in the Kotia to 0.3258 in the Relli, which is well within the range of South Indian populations.
