beta-Sarcoglycan, a 43 kDa dystrophin-associated glycoprotein, is an integral component of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex. We have cloned human beta-sarcoglycan cDNA and mapped the beta-sarcoglycan gene to chromosome 4q12.
