Mutations affecting the RecF pathway of recombination (recF, recG, recJ, recN, recO, recQ, recR, ruvA, ruvC) were systematically introduced into two sets of strains: (a) uvrA and uvrA recA2020, (b) uvrA recBC sbcBC and uvrA recBC sbcBC recA2020.
