Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are broadly classified into BCR::ABL1-positive chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) and BCR::ABL1-negative subtypes such as polycythaemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythaemia and primary myelofibrosis.
