HEN methyltransferase 1 (HENMT1) is an RNA methyltransferase that catalyzes 2'-O-methylation of P-element-induced wimpy testis (PIWI)-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) within the small RNA silencing pathway and methylates microRNAs (miRNAs).
