In the Republic of Korea (ROK), chloroquine is the first-line treatment for Plasmodium vivax (P. vivax), and primaquine is also prescribed to prevent relapse. For Plasmodium falciparum (P. falciparum), atovaquone-proguanil, pyronaridine-artesunate, and mefloquine are recommended.
