Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a notorious opportunistic pathogen that causes life-threatening infections in immunocompromised individuals. In this study, we isolated two mucoid imipenem-resistant P. aeruginosa strains, SCPa14 and SCPa16, from a single silicosis patient.
