BACKGROUND: Chorangiomas, benign capillary lesions of the placenta, occur in ~1% of births, typically as solitary nodules. Multiple chorangioma syndrome is rare and increases risk of fetal heart failure, hydrops fetalis, and intrauterine death due to placental hemodynamic disruption.
