ABSTRACT Although human tuberculosis (TB) caused by Mycobacterium bovis is clinically, pathologically, and radiologically indistinguishable from Mycobacterium tuberculosis -caused TB, M. bovis is innately resistant to pyrazinamide, a key first-line drug effective against M. tuberculosis .
