Introduction: Hereditary Elliptocytosis (HE) comprises clinically and genetically heterogeneous red cell membranopathies resulting from defects in the horizontal linkage between red blood cell (RBC) membrane and cytoskeletal proteins, which affect mechanical stability and deformability, thereby reducing RBC lifespan.
