AIM: Immunoinflammatory response plays an important role in the pathophysiological process of ischemic stroke (IS). Forkhead box P3 (FOXP3) is a master regulator for immune cells. Polymorphisms of FOXP3 gene might contribute to the susceptibility of IS.
