Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is a genetic, incurable neurodegenerative disease which etiology is linked to mutations in almost hundred different genes. The disease affects peripheral nerves which control muscle work and their myelin sheath resulting in progressive muscular dystrophy.
