Patients with heavily pretreated (≥3rd-line treatment) metastatic breast cancer (MBC) had poor outcomes and lack prognostic biomarkers. Tumor mutational burden (TMB) was a prognostic biomarker for immunotherapy, but is not well defined in non-immunotherapy.
