BACKGROUND: Dermatophytes showing reduced sensitivity to antifungal agents have emerged in several countries. One terbinafine resistant strain of Trichophyton rubrum, TIMM20092, also showed reduced sensitivity to itraconazole (ITC) and voriconazole (VRC).
