BACKGROUND: The tyrosine kinase inhibitor nintedanib reduces the rate of decline in forced vital capacity (FVC) in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), other chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) with a progressive phenotype and systemic sclerosis-associated ILD (SSc-ILD).
