Leukemias are routinely sub-typed for risk/outcome prediction and therapy choice using acquired mutations and chromosomal rearrangements. Down syndrome acute lymphoblastic leukemia (DS-ALL) is characterized by high frequency of CRLF2-rearrangements, JAK2-mutations, or RAS-pathway mutations.
