OBJECTIVE: Rate-limiting enzyme 3b-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (3βHSD1) encoded by HSD3B1 catalyzes the transition of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) to dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
