The adult K/BxN transgenic mouse develops spontaneous autoimmune arthritis with joint remodeling and profound bone loss. We report that both males and females display a severe sustained tactile allodynia which is reduced by gabapentin but not the potent cyclooxygenase inhibitor ketorolac.
