PURPOSE: The EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor) mutations may predict sensitivity and resistance to EGFR-TKIs (Tyrosine Kinases Inhibitors) in metastatic lung adenocarcinoma. The detection of these mutations is usually performed on tumor tissue samples.
