BACKGROUND/PURPOSE: Dengue disease is widespread in tropical and sub-tropical regions. Severe dengue infection is characterized by plasma leakage, fluid accumulation, severe bleeding, or vital organ impairment. Bleeding is a critical complication of dengue disease.
