Abstract excerpt
Sclerosteosis and van Buchem disease (VBD) are two rare autosomal recessive disorders that results from osteoblast hyperactivity, in which progressive bone overgrowth leads to very dense bones, distortion of the face, and entrapment of cranial nerves.
