The tropical tasar silkworm, Antheraea mylitta, polyphagous sericigenous insect mostly found in the tropical areas of India. It is found in these regions as ecotypes or ecoraces. It feeds primarily on plants, a variety of secondary plants like Terminalia arjuna and T. tomentosa.
