PURPOSE: Genotype-directed therapy is the standard of care for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but obtaining tumor tissue for genotyping remains a challenge. Circulating tumor cell (CTC) or cell-free DNA (cfDNA) analysis may allow for noninvasive evaluation.
