The HIrisPlex system, which consists of two parts, allows the simultaneous prediction of eye and hair color from DNA, e.g., samples extracted from crime scene evidence. The first part is a highly sensitive multiplex genotyping assay consisting of 24 DNA markers using SNaPshot™ chemistry, for analysis on all Capillary Electrophoresis machines.
