Juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML) is a rare myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative disorder that occurs during infancy and early childhood; this disorder is characterized by hypersensitivity of the myeloid progenitor cells to granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) in vitro.
