Head and neck cancers (HNCs) include cancers which arise in oral cavity, pharynx, and larynx. Recent studies have demonstrated that alcohol drinking is an established risk factor for HNC. The alcohol dehydrogenase-1B (ADH1B) plays a major role in the oxidized process of alcohol.
