Guanzhong (n = 321) and Boer (n = 191) goat breeds were used to detect single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the coding regions of the prolactin receptor (PRLR) gene by DNA sequencing and PCR-RFLP. Two SNPs (c.1457G>A and c.1645G>A) were identified that caused amino acid variations p.Ser485Asn and p.Val548Met respectively.
